- Description - The orchid-rich regions in India are the North-Eastern region, particularly the Eastern Himalaya, Meghalaya, Mizo or Lushai Hills and the Naga Hills; Sikkim in particular, rich with orchids. The vegetation in Western Ghats reported orchids are Bulbophyllum, Cymbediums ,Dendrobiums,Pholidota and Eulopia . Eastern Himalaya, especially the genera like Bulbophyllum, Dendrobium, Coelogyne and Eria are very common . About 700 species have been reported from North-Eastern India; in the state-wise, 324 species in Meghalaya,
500 in Arunachal Pradesh, 453 in Sikkim and 226 in Mizoram.

- Description - A banking sector is termed an important part of a flourishing economy. The failures made in the banking sector have also made an effective impact on the various other sectors. Non-performing sets of assets are termed as one of the important concerns made for various other banks in India. NPA also tries to reflect the performance of the banks. There is a high level of NPAs that also suggests the high probability of a huge number of the credit defaults made and that also affects the profitability and the net-worth value of various banks and it also erodes the real value of the asset.

- 3. Name of the paper - CYFLUTHRIN TOXICANT STRESS ON THE OXYGEN CONSUMPTION IN THE FISH CATLA CATLA, A BIOMARKER STUDY

- Description - One of the synthetic pyrethroid, Cyfluthrin technical grade and 10% WP is selected for study the stress as impact on oxygen consumption in the fish Catla catla which is a biomarker study. The fish is exposed at lethal and sublethal concentrations (1/10th of 96 hrs LCso value) of both technical grade 2.2 µg/L and 0.22 µg/L respectively and for 10% WP 1.4 µg/L and 0.14 µg/L respectively. Due to the inhibition of the enzyme AChE, the respiratory stress leads to variations in the oxygen consumption, Of inspiration of respiration. Any change in the consumption of the gas leads to impairment of metabolism which is detrimental for growth.
